Michael loves to combine the rustic with the sleek, the hoary with the ultra modern, the nature weathered with the machine polished, the humble with the horribly expensive looking. The way he throws all these elements together into vignettes at his showroom, makes them enhance each other, instead of fight for attention, with the result that one wants to come out of his showroom with an armload of eye candy and not just one single item.
The advent of Summer was the excuse for a bubbly celebration arranged by NEW YORK SPACES Magazine at Michael Dawkins' showroom on June 11, but the real treat was to feast one's eyes on the gorgeous home goodies that are a testament to his Zen taste in house appointments.
